Mr. Carson Wen, the Founder and Chairman of Bank of Asia (BVI) Limited and the Chairman of the Sancus Group of companies, has engaged in an employment dispute with the former employer Chad Holm, who was the Deputy CEO of the Financial Holdings (BVI) Limited (“FHL”) established by Sancus in 2015. Mr. Wen emphasized that this employment dispute does not related to Bank of Asia (BVI) and it neither impacts Bank of Asia in any way. Therefore, it is no doubt that bringing Bank of Asia (BVI) into this dispute is inappropriate. As for the employment dispute itself, Carson Wen has taken further legal action and appealed to the Privy Council in the UK at the end of 2020. Last but not least, since the legal proceedings filed by FHL against Chad Holm and two co-defendants for breach of contract, breach of trust and breach of fiduciary duties in Hong Kong High Court are also ongoing, what is needed to be further stated is that Chad Holm’s claim of unpaid wages was false and without concrete evidence.
